In the video Dafna Talmor talks about constructed landscapes and tells us her views about them. she talks about what they are how she makes them by cutting pieces of different landscape images of the same theme and putting them together to make a better ones that are more interesting and have more details to look at.

I like this photograph the most and the first thing that I notice is the bright bold colours and the way that it is made. It is just strips of the images put together but they don't seem to make a landscape. Instead I think that it is just an image constructed by strips of various landscapes but some of the images don't appear to be just of the landscape as I can see palm trees and other strips look like frames and I can see strips which just have the sea. I like the composition as it is different from anything I've seen before. It is a landscape but combined of strips of images. it looks unusual but I find it interesting because it is a strange way to show a landscape. I think that it is a landscape image but it is pieced and placed together differently. It was taken......
The original landscape could be a true depiction but the way in which it is placed together and coloured is not. The images is eye catching because of the bright colours, they look like the contrast has been edited, it also looks as though each segmant has been individually coloured. |
